The St. Louis Black healthcare community found themselves at the center of a public healthcare evolution, overcoming second-hand insufficient facilities and treatment to cultivate an impactful community of care professionals and institutions within the St. Louis region and across the United States. The tour journeys from the edge of the original city footprint to the current extent of the city proper and narrates the Black and public healthcare stories.
